Maria Romina Rivero (1980) Rivero is a researcher of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council – Argentina. She is performing her work at the National Institute of Tropical Medicine in the Atlantic forest region. Her investigations integrate infectious diseases into the human, environmental and animal health spheres, that is the One Health initiative. Especially, her research in focusing on children health from disadvantaged regions and minority communities in the subtropical area of the extreme south of South America.
